Lisa Cormier, BA, MSW, CPCC

Lisa Cormier is a Leadership Coach and Group Facilitator living in Ottawa, Ontario, who uses her 17 years of experience in management and organizational development in her current work. Since 2001, Lisa has provided support to hundreds of senior executives, managers and future managers. In addition, she has designed several workshops including her most recent collaboration with the Canada School of Public Service in the development of The Courage to Lead in the Public Service. In addition, she was recently invited by the Canada School of Public Service to deliver a workshop at their 2006's Leadership Conference entitled The Creativity Challenge.
Lisa has a deep understanding of complex organizational and human resource issues and thrives on working with people who want to leverage their strengths to achieve personal and organizational success. Prior to 2001, Lisa was employed for 12 years with the Regional Municipality of Ottawa Carleton where she spent the majority of those years in management positions.
Lisa is a faculty member of The Coaches Training Institute, a worldwide educational institution offering an intensive Coach Certification Program. She obtained her professional credentials, CPCC, at this institute. She is a member of the International Coach Federation. Additionally, Lisa holds a BA (honours in Psychology) and a Masters of Social Work.
Lisa brings a unique combination of connection and warmth, matched with a fierce rigour, to her coaching. She is adept at making people feel at ease, while challenging them to explore the possibilities of their full potential as leaders and as human beings. Her frank and perceptive style moves her clients towards greater self-understanding, resulting in their ability to overcome obstacles and take powerful action. This has earned her a reputation as a strong, powerful coach.
